The driving technology of the Genesis GV70 removes even the smallest risk factors between drivers, cars, and pedestrians, leaving only two essential elements: safety and convenience.

INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY

When the driver exits the vehicle, a warning sound will indicate if the rear door or tailgate is open. If the driver does not notice the alert and locks the door, a radar sensor mounted in the rear detects the anomaly and sends a second warning alert via horn, emergency lights.

The system warns and assists in braking if the preceding car suddenly slows. It is also activated if there is a high risk of a front-end collision due to stopped cars or the sudden appearance of pedestrians or cyclists. Braking assistance is also applied when the risk of collision with an oncoming car is detected when turning left at an intersection.

BLIND-SPOT COLLISION-AVOIDANCE ASSIST (BCA)BLIND-SPOT COLLISION-AVOIDANCE ASSIST (BCA)

BCA is reinforced with a new function that assists through differential braking when the risk of collision is with a car in a blind spot during lane changes. The system is also active while parallel parking, for instance, braking when the car is moving forward, and there is a risk of a rear-side collision with oncoming traffic.

Lane Keeping Assist assists the driver to keep driving in the center of the lane.

SAFE DRIVING

A camera built into the cluster analyzes the driver’s face and eyes. A warning sounds if it recognizes that the driver is not looking ahead.

HDA II keeps the car a safe distance from the car ahead and maintains lane position even when the road curves. This convenient driving technology also helps the driver to change lanes safely.

The Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control assists in decelerating the car based on speed limits and the curvature of the highway.

The Genesis GV70 maintains its distance from the forward vehicle while moving at the speed set by the driver, braking automatically when the forward vehicle stops and starting again automatically within three seconds of detected movement. The Driving Behavior-Based Smart Cruise Control analyzes the driver's driving behavior to mimic the driver's tendencies.

When pulling in or out of a parking space, the system enables automated steering and speed control. The Genesis Smart Key can also be used to control the car remotely.

The PCA prevents the vehicle from colliding with pedestrians or nearby obstacles at the rear while the driver parks the vehicle or exits a parking spot, as well as when the vehicle is traveling at low speed, by warning the driver and controlling the vehicle’s braking function.

REAR CROSS-TRAFFIC COLLISION-AVOIDANCE ASSISTREAR CROSS-TRAFFIC COLLISION-AVOIDANCE ASSIST

During reversing maneuvers, this system warns the driver of approaching traffic from both sides of the vehicle and applies the brakes if a collision is likely to occur.

SAFE EXIT ASSISTSAFE EXIT ASSIST

This feature sounds an alert when vehicles approaching from behind are detected while a passenger opens a door intending to exit the vehicle. It also keeps the Electronic Child Safety Lock activated to prevent the doors from opening. In addition, if the risk of rear side collision is determined, the door is prevented from opening even if the door open button is pressed.

REAR GUIDE LAMPREAR GUIDE LAMP

When the vehicle is reversing, this safety feature projects lights from rear LED guide lamps onto the road, alerting other vehicles and pedestrians to optimize accident prevention.
