At the 2023 Chengdu Motor Show, Genesis showcased its unique vision of automotive luxury with the China premiere of the Genesis X Speedium Coupe Concept, the start of sales for the flagship Genesis G90 and G90 LONG WHEEL BASE luxury sedans, and the launch of the industry-leading Genesis Value Commitment. The Genesis X Speedium Coupe’s exterior follows the reductive ‘less is more’ design principle, standing out with its restrained elegance, clean lines, and subtle curves. The coupe’s Parabolic Line extending from front to rear maintains a certain tension in the design as a classic car would, culminating in a streamlined look that exudes understated elegance. Its hourglass silhouette highlights the car’s passion and character, creating a muscular presence with a sensuous form accentuating the wheel arches.
The interior of the Genesis X Speedium Coupe leverages the classic ‘Beauty of White Space’ design principle, expressed though minimalistic forms punctuated by strong design elements. The asymmetric, driver-oriented layout allows control systems and displays to surround the driver, further developing a theme found across Genesis' X concept cars, with a wrap-around instrument panel and floating center console amplifying the driving experience.
