Highway Driving Assist II is a driving convenience system that maintains the distance and lane of the vehicle ahead and helps to change lanes safely.

Smart Cruise Control improves the convenience of driving on highways by automatically decelerating in speed limit zones and on curved roads.

SAFE DRIVING FEATURES

The system warns and assists in braking if the preceding car suddenly slows down. It is also activated if there is a high risk of a front-end collision due to stopped cars or the sudden appearance of pedestrians or cyclists. Braking assistance is also applied when the risk of collision with an oncoming car is detected when turning left at an intersection.

When operating the turn signal to change lanes, the system warns the driver of possible collision with vehicles approaching from the blind-spot, and can assist with emergency braking to prevent collisions. This system also comes into play when leaving a parallel-parked position, further enhancing driver safety.

The cluster displays oncoming vehicles in the blind-spot when the turn signal is activated to ensure driver awareness and safety.

When the vehicle is stopped, the radar detects vehicles or approaching from the blind spot will activate the child lock on the rear seats to ensure safety when leaving the vehicle. In addition, if the risk of rear side collision is determined, doors are prevented from opening even if the door open button is pressed.

PARKING COLLISION-AVOIDANCE ASSISTPARKING COLLISION-AVOIDANCE ASSIST

PCA prevents the vehicle from colliding with pedestrians or nearby obstacles in the rear when the driver parks the vehicle or exits a parking spot, as well as when the vehicle is traveling at low speed, by warning the driver and controlling the vehicle’s braking function.
